The recently announced FCKeditor 2.3 Beta includes some great new features and enhancements to what is already one of the best WYSIWYG editors available. We are especially excited about these new features:
- Improved speed
- Maximize - expand the editor by opening a new linked window
- Single (detach) toolbar (think submit news and add content) - one toolbar for all editor instances
- FitWindow - hopefully, this allows you to optionally use all available horizontal space, instead of specifying columns
- AutoGrow - expands the toolbar to show all content when editing (similar to FitWindow, but vertically)
- and a host of other fixes, improvements and tighter security
We will continue to test, but likely won't release an update until the final release of FCKeditor 2.3 (which usually doesn't take long).
