Post subject: Searching for complete words
Hi,
Is there a way to search for complete words. For instance if you are searching for 'sign' at the moment it will also return 'de
sign
' or '
sign
ificant'.
Thanks in advance

Would it be an easy mod to return an exact match?

Not sure. I've never needed that - what would the SQL look like?

To be honest I'm a bit out of my comfort zone, but is it as simple as changing the 'like' to '=' in function doquery?

I guess it isn't that simple, just gave it a go but it didn't work.
I need to get some sleep and I'll have a look at this again tomorrow.

If you can figure out an appropriate regular expression, it might be possible to use MySQL's regex capabilities:

By the way, another option might be to place a FULLTEXT index on the table/columns of interest and then use word searches.
