The next release of nukeSEO™ will use a modal dialog to override the meta tags for a Nuke page.  This dialog will be enabled via a handy site menu, nukeNAV™, which could be made available for visitors, members and / or administrators.  This will also come with a more efficient modules block.  Read more to see a demo of this new tool being developed for the RavenNuke™ CMS.

nukeNAV(tm) site menu

nukeNAV(tm) site navigation blockThe nukeNAV™ site menu bar must be added to a theme (typically in the theme header) and can use theme-specific CSS for display.  It has a number of unique features designed to save site visitors and admins time. The News, Forums and Your Account menus display shortcut selections to save time. The Your Account shortcuts are only available when logged in as a site member, and the admin shortcuts are only available to administrators.  The Admin Modules menu displays the hidden and inactive modules for admins. The Admin has links to the major admin functions, as well as waiting content, new story creation and more.  A modal dialog for searching the site is also planned.

The nukeNAV™ site navigation block replaces the default modules block.  It only reads the modules table, rather than adding and removing modules each time the module is displayed.  This could improve site performance and eliminate the disappearing modules issue that occurs as a result of denial-of-service and other attacks.

nukeNAV™ currently isn't language aware, and only the modules functions are dynamic.  Hopefully, both of these issues will be addressed before the release of nukeSEO, but neither will hold the release.  Most likely, a menu building feature will not be available in the initial release of nukeNAV™ included with nukeSEO 2.0.

Please post comments and suggestions in the nukeNAV™ forum.
