I've managed to alter the files so that the category is indexable, but the urls for the individual feeds are humongous, as well as constructed bit by bit, anyone had any luck with this?

I've modified quite a few things to make nuke more SEO friendly, and will be checking this site regularly, a great idea for sure ! Very Happy

Is this something that google tap can help fix?

Yes, actually, it can for the on-line Sitemap. If you have GT-NextGEn installed, you can write your own GT-Sitemap.php file and most likely you wouldn't even need any additional .htaccess statements. This is what I have done, but I only included the modules that I have activated within the sitemap tool.

Now, for the Google sitemap submission, I have not shortened the URLs at all.

I managed to write a shortlinks section for myheadlines, and hopefully it will continue to work, once I've upgraded myheadlines again. I'm having problems running it with PHP5, the core code works, but the admin side is very flaky.

Are you using the latest ShortLinks from my site? I would also make sure you are using the latest nukeSEO from this site here.
