I have a question about that Mouse Hover Topic Box Over,

In the read me file of the download, it says

Code:

#-----[ OPEN ]------------------------------------------
#
includes/my_header.php

#
#-----[ FIND ]------------------------------------------
#

?>

#
#-----[ BEFORE, ADD ]------------------------------------------
#

echo "<script>\n";

Since my_header.php isn't in RavenNuke, where would be a proper place to include this Javascript without causing rollover problems with other .JS files?

This was written in 2006 before BoxOver was added to RavenNuke, which now uses an improved method for loading JS without having to change core scripts.

If the version of RavenNuke you have already includes BoxOver (which is likely since it was added long ago), you can skip this step.

Please also note that the 3 modules/Forums files:
viewforum.php
templates/<your>/viewforum_body.tpl
search.php

may be different from those in versions of RavenNuke released after these instructions were written 6 years ago.

So this file provided in your downloads should be compatible with RavenNuke 2.5, its just that the BoxOver file provided in that file is an outdated one and should only use the only already pre-packaged with RavenNuke 2.5, correct?

I believe they are the same version, but yes, if you already have BoxOver installed with RN, there is no need to reinstall it.

I can't seem to get any results from this.

The only thing I havn't done in that help me file that came with this was the editing of my_header.php which was to be skipped.

Edit: When doing a search and hovering over a topic in search results, it shows a black box, but just with the topic title in it is all.

This is how my current /themes/fisubice/forums/viewforum_body.tpl area that needs edited looks:

Had to remove the code from your site due to the fact it was being rewritten when placed here.

I have uploaded the code here:

Did you add the CSS from the instructions somewhere? It sounds like there is a theme conflict.

Yes I added the following to themes/<your_theme>/style/style.css

Note: I am also using RavenNukes packaged theme fisubice
Code:

.boxhdr1 {
   padding:5px;
   font-weight:bold;
   border:1px solid #000000;
   background:#000000;
   color:#FFFFFF;
    width:400px;
}
.boxbdy1 {
   padding:5px;
   border:1px solid #000000;
   background:#FFFFFF;
   color:#000000;
    width:400px;
}

Here are some updated instructions.

http://trickedoutnews.com/nuken/RavenNuke_mouse_hover_topic_boxover.txt

You do not need to install the boxover stuff.

I have fixed this issue, my problem was in the fisubice theme viewforum_body.tpl file

The {topicrow.TOPIC_TITLE} is included twice, so I removed the duplicate and seems the everything is good to go.

But a problem I am noticing is, after doing testing, it seems if a post begins with any altering of the color or "!@#$%^&*()" characters in the begining of the post or [ code ] , it seems not to display the Mouse Over Box.
