PostPosted: Sun Mar 08, 2009 2:21 pm    Post subject: NukeSEO & Sitemap.xml? Reply with quote

I just installed NukeSEO and all seems to be fine Exclamation Cool

My question is should I use both nukeSEO and the sitemap.xml in my google account sitemaps or just use the http://www.mydomain.com/modules.php?name=Sitemap&op=Google one I submitted?

Dose it hurt to have them both listed in your google account sitemaps?

Thanks!

It shouldn't hurt, but how was the sitemap.xml generated?

I used GSiteCrawler to create the sitemap.xml. I removed everything I didn't want listed in the sitemap so it only had the forum info.

Thanks for the reply!

I have used GSiteCrawler as well and it is pretty good.
There are however two disadvantages to keep in mind;
1 - you still have to run the software periodically to keep the sitemap up to date whereas nukeSEO updates on-the-fly.

2 - If you are logged in as an admin when using GSiteCrawler it will ick up admin related links which in turn could cause an accidental googlebot ban.

So you consider spamming other peoples sites as 'ethical'?
