Have you tried it?
I think thats the only way to find out as there are not many people supporting add-on for anything above nuke 7.6 due to the continued sloppy code and the security issues.

I have tryed, and unless there is another problem, all I get is a blank page for the searches.....

That sounds like a bad file edit to me.
Have you ruened error reporting on in nukeroot/config.php it should indicate where the problem is.

Guardian's point is that most blank pages are either cause by:
- parsing errors (which should be visible if the php.ini setting display_errors it turned on, and this can be done dynamically via config.php)
- security (later version of a patch file that requires security that isn't in unpatched 8.0)

Is your 8.0 unpatched?
